Ben Anderson - Director
Ben has worked in the commercial radio industry for the last decade, first as a breakfast show producer for Capital FM and Free Radio in Birmingham and then as Managing Editor for Capital FM in Liverpool and North Wales.
During his time in the radio industry Ben worked on some major projects for some of the UK's biggest brands, producing campaigns for Fusion Festival, Liverpool Football Club, The Clothes Show, Creamfields, The Jockey Club, Culture Liverpool and many more. He also achieved what some thought was impossible; taking the newly rebranded Capital Liverpool (formerly Juice FM) to a higher market share than the established local competitor Radio City, before leaving to set up Sound Rebel.
He specialises in producing audio that engages audiences by putting them at the heart of the content; and boasts that he can create an idea for anyone, at any time, about anything! Ben is currently producing Dilemmas with Jess Ellis and Triple Captain, with Men Not Boys launching in September.
Gemma Cutting - Content Producer
Gemma started her radio career as a teenager and was behind the microphone for 20 years, working at some of the biggest commercial radio brands in the UK including Capital FM and Radio City.
From presenting in front of festival crowds of tens of thousands to interviewing some of the world's biggest stars (including Take That, David Guetta, Nick Jonas, Jess Glynne, Little Mix and Rita Ora), Gemma now brings this huge wealth of radio experience to podcasts as both a presenter and a producer.
Gemma is currently producing A Girl and a Gay in the Gym, with Girls Can Do Anything launching in September.
Alex Key - Digital Producer
Alex started his career in marketing for some of the most prominent entertainment brands in Dubai, such Havaianas Middle East, Cirque le Soir and Cavalli Club. From forming key strategic partnerships to devising creative cut through campaigns, he’s worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment.
Alex produces all of the visual content for Sound Rebel, from podcast cover art to website design. Despite being an audio format, the visuals of a podcast are just as important as the content of the show itself; catching the attention of a listener who's scrolling through the podcast directories to find something new is harder than you'd think!
Tom ANDERSON - MUsic producer
Tom studied Music at the University of Liverpool and went on to become a producer at Liverpool's famous Parr Street Studios within just a few months of graduating.
As well as fronting his own band, Venus Demilo, Tom works with some of the most exciting up and coming talent in the UK as a songwriter and producer; and was recently recognised by the PRS Foundation who are supporting the development of a UK-wide tour.
We encourage everyone we work with to have a track produced by Tom instead of using an online production library; he specialises in making sure that his music seamlessly integrates with the content of the podcast, and his compositions are unique to every format.
James Devine - TECHNICAL Producer
James has worked in commercial radio and the BBC for over 10 years after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Media Technology.
He started his career as a Studio Manager with the BBC World Service, and stayed with them for over five years before moving on to becoming a Broadcast Engineer for Global Radio where he worked on numerous projects from studio rebuilds to large-scale outside broadcasts.
James oversees all of the technical aspects at Sound Rebel, from consulting with our producers and presenters on projects which require more than a standard set-up, and ensuring that all of the quality of audio produced is to the highest possible broadcast standard.
